Q.Is Qobix a recruiting agency or body rental?
Absolutely not. We are a software platform (SaaS). We don't act as intermediaries, we don't get involved in negotiations and we don't take any commission (e.g. 15% on annual salary) on hires. We only provide the technology to bring you together. We only provide the technology to bring you together.
Q.If you don't take commissions, how do you make money?
Companies pay a subscription to use our search filters and contact talent. Developers can also choose to activate a Premium plan for advanced tools, but basic directory use remains free.
Q.Do I have to pay to find a job?
No, registration, profile creation and directory listing are free for all developers. The Premium plan is optional and only for those who want market insights and proactive tools for their career.
Q.Can my current employer see me?
Privacy is a priority. Within your profile settings, you can block specific company domains (e.g. the company you work for now), preventing their recruiters from viewing your profile.
Q.What do you do to avoid recruiter spam?
Only technical representatives or HR from product/tech companies access Qobix, no third-party agencies. Additionally, companies have a calculated number of messages available, which forces them to contact only profiles that really match their stack.
Q.What is the 'Qobix Certified' badge?
It's an optional seal of quality. It's issued after passing a code review or system design interview with one of our engineers. It attests to your real technical capabilities, not just what you write on your CV.
Q.Is the test mandatory to use the platform?
No, the test is completely voluntary (opt-in). You can receive job offers even with a standard profile. However, getting the badge positions you at the top of search results and allows you to skip initial technical tests at many companies.
Q.What happens if a developer doesn't respond to messages?
Our code of conduct imposes a response obligation (anti-ghosting) on all members. We monitor response rates and penalize inactive profiles, so you don't waste time or contact credits.
Q.Can I try the platform before paying?
